Last Sunday I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot Grant and Stacey. They showed up to my studio lookin ALL SORTS OF GOOD. I told them that I wanted to take them somewhere I hadn’t shot before and they were willing and able.
From the first moment I met the two of them, I knew that they were the right couple for me. Grant and Stacey have such an incredible love for each other and easily translates through pictures. Truly one of the many things I’m grateful for, is that all of my clients have a love so deep it can easily been seen. It’s not forced, it’s not fake, it’s true, it’s raw and it’s beautiful.
My favs from the evening.

Last week I had the awesome pleasure of hanging out with Emily in downtown Lee’s Summit to shoot her senior pictures. This girl is beautiful beyond words! She has eyes that sparkle and a smile that wouldn’t stop! For fun, I brought Josh Solar and Kristy with me to shoot and at first I think Emily thought to herself, what on earth did I get myself into? Ha ha!!
In the end, I think we captured some OUT OF THIS WORLD pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.
Isn’t she BEAUTIFUL!!

AYKM?

Ohh those eyes!

That laugh, that smile.

Love love love this one.

Me love me some sunset.

M to the E to the OW!

Emily, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your Senior year. You are so beautiful and your personality is out of this world.
Hugs,
Heather
I got an email about a week back from this awesome girl named Natalie Norton who asked if I would be interested in doing an interview for her blog. Um…OF COURSE! I’m so honored that I’m even someone of interest amongst the other amazing photographers she’s featured on her blog. Go check out her blog and give her some blog/comment lovin.
Thanks Natalie. I can’t wait to meet you one day.
And…because a post is not a post without a picture… here’s a dandy one of me……well……being me.

Thanks Kristy. Love you girl.
My baby starts Kindergarten next week and for some reason it really HIT me today. My baby is not a baby anymore.
Last night we were reading a book at bedtime and she started to recognize the words and read it to ME. She started screaming, “Mom, I’m reading, I’m reading!” Then this morning she put her tennis shoes on skillfully showed me how she knew how to tie them. “Make a loop, wrap it around and pull it through”. A piece of my heart broke right then and there. I no longer have this little girl sitting in front of me and no matter how hard I try to make it stop, she’s growing up. Kindergarten next week is going to be insane. Look for my post as I will be documenting her from the moment she gets up! GULP!
Until then, here are some cute shots I got of her playing on our front porch the other night.
I *heart* Olivia

Makes you smile doesn’t it.
* gotta love the wind blowing her little strands all of the place.

Another favorite. Hmm. I wonder where she gets that face?

Livy, I love you.
Let me start off by telling you how excited I am to photograph Mindy and Ryan’s wedding. Mindy heard about me from a wedding I did last year in Shenandoah, IA (Elisa and Micah who I adore very much). So, she booked me without even meeting me, which is a HUGE compliment. Anyway, they were making their way through Kansas City a week ago so we met up and had to do some engagement lovin.
These two are sooo adorable with each other. I love the way they look at each other and how playful they are with each other. All in all, they make me smile and I’m so happy they picked me to capture their beautiful wedding day next year. Love you guys!
On to the hotness….. my favs of the day..
Check out her BEAUTIFUL eyes…wowzers!

I love these next two shots…they are so cute together!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shot I grabbed from under a parking garage. MEOW!

Still in the parking garage…oww oww.

Thank you guys for braving the heat and working it out with me. I’m so excited for your wedding! Love you both.

Stacey and I actually broke off our engagment the day after Heather shot our engagement session because during the session Stacey stole my ice cream cone half way through eating it. A huge no-no. However, after we got our pictures back we went through them and now we are back together! Heather Cole is not only the sexiest photographer…ever; she saved our marriage. For reals yo.

I knew that car wash shot was going to be insane when I shouted MEOW out my car window…by the way, how random was it that I was driving by and you happened to be shooting?
