I’m going to start this post off by apologizing for how long this post is going to be. There are so many pictures to show, so much that went on…I’m just warning you now…it’s going to be a DOOZIE!

So - let’s start from the beginning. The first time I met Emily and Boyd was at Lindsay and Phil’s wedding in 2007. I fell in love with BOTH OF THEM right on the spot. Imagine how happy I was when they called me right after they got engaged at Christmas. The happy dance I did in my office was a site to been seen.

So fast forward to last weekend. I walked into the hotel where she was getting ready and felt like I was family. The day was perfect from start to finish. In addition to being excited to shoot the wedding I was also meeting Kassia there who was being interviewed as my second shooter.

The moment I met her, I felt like I was talking to an old friend. You would have thought she had been my second shooter for YEARS with the chemistry we had together. Needless to say she passed “the test” and I’m happy to announce that Kassia is my new second shooter for next year. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who sent me emails, resumes or called me. I can’t even describe how honored I felt that so many people wanted to shoot with me. Picking someone was VERY HARD but I think that Kassia fit the bill 100%. I’m so excited to have her with me….it’s like shooting with my best friend!! :)WHOO HOO!

So onto the best part, the pictures.  To all the other brides looking at these and going HOLY MOLY there are so many…keep in mind - this was a 12 hour wedding day with a 2 hour break in between. When given the time - we can shoot a TON!!

And it begins…(let me tell you - this woman is ridiculously beautiful even without makeup - kinda hate her)

Meanwhile Boyd was hanging out down the hall…Boyd….the fact that you are so incredibly sexy and cute is not your fault. You get it from your sexy cute PARENTS (who I’ve also adopted as my own)

The first time Boyd saw Emily…I caught him saying W-O-W!

Emily and Boyd - there are no words to express how grateful I am that our paths crossed two years ago. I love you both VERY VERY much and I’m blessed to have you in my life. Thank you for asking ME to be the one to share in your very special day. It means more to me than you’ll ever know. I wish you all the happiness in the world. Give Dutch hugs and kisses from me!!

Yesterday I was blessed to have the opportunity to hang out all day with some amazing photographers who came out to my first PLAYshop. We talked shop all day long, had some good laughs, some good eats and got to photograph an amazing couple, Claire and Paul. Thank you both so much for being such AWESOME models. Despite the down pour in the morning and the hot humid sticky air in the afternoon, we all worked it out (whaattwhaatt). Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone for taking time out of your busy schedule to come. I hope that you all had a great time and learned a little something something along the way.

I had the great honor of shooting Carolyn and Anthony’s wedding last Saturday and as I expected, they blew my mind away!! Their love for each other is refreshing and makes you say in the back of your head (man I love my job).

One of my favorite parts about the day was when we walked into the reception to find the cake literally FALLING apart. The icing was MELTING off of the cake. I got nervous, looked over to Carolyn and she’s laughing. As if I didn’t love her enough she went about 10 notches up in amazing in my book. Because what I tell my clients is this, things may go wrong or they might not be exactly what you wanted but it doesn’t change the fact that you’ve waited your entire life to marry the person of your dreams and no melting cake or anything else will ruin that. Roll with the punches my friend and Carolyn and Anthony are the perfect example of that.

So many favorites to choose from….ahh!!!!

How about we start off with probably one of the most beautiful dresses EVER!! It was a Romona Keveza and it was MADE for her. WOW WOW WOW!!

Carolyn & Anthony opted to see each other before the wedding and I LOVE this shot of Anthony looking at her in the dress. I think he was just as blown away as I was.

When I took this image I knew that instant that I loved it. Carolyn is such a timeless beauty and this picture is just stunning of her. I could have shot her all day!!

In addition to our beautiful weather, we were also given some FANTASTIC WIND! They didn’t seem to mind!

Then I said, would you mind climbing up there and laying down. Her reply, “Of course not”.

The light was so amazing that day!!

After the Nelson, we headed to Westport for some more fun!

The beautiful ceremony was held at Californos! Can you say AMAZING!!

How gorgeous was the reception. She left to detail spared!

The toasts were great!! The whole room was DYING laughing!

Carolyn and Anthony took dance lessons and their first dance was so cute! You could tell the whole time they were having a BLAST!

As a surprise the whole wedding party had score cards at the end of their performance. It was AWESOME!

Last but not least, they had their own little photobooth they pulled together themselves which was about as cute as it gets. I couldn’t resist grabbing this shot of the two of them behind the “photobooth screen”.

All in all, this wedding was perfect from start to finish. I’m so glad that they entered my Free Wedding Contest or I would have NEVER met them. Funny how the Lord works in mysterious ways!

Thank you Carolyn and Anthony for having me join your very special day. I’m so blessed to have you both in my life.

For quite sometime I have worked almost all my weddings solo but I’ve grown to love the feeling of having someone else there with me rockin it out.  When Aaron is with me at a wedding, the energy is OVER THE TOP and since my wonderful Aaron is not going to be shooting weddings next year, I need someone that can fill his shoes but on a FULL time basis. So every wedding I shoot, I want you to be with me!! Yeah, YOU!!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting Stephanie and Marcus’s wedding at Hillcrest Country club. This day couldn’t have been any better. When I first picked out my favorite to blog I had 32 pictures! 32!! So, after several hours of picking and choosing I narrowed it down to 26. I’m going to let the pictures speak for themselves because the day was PERFECT!!!
