Free Wedding - Contest

Thu June 28th, 2007 Wedding Day

No need to check your glasses, that’s right, I said FREE!!!

I’m so blessed to do what I do everyday. I love, LOVE, LOVE my job! I love the feeling I get when I shoot a wedding. I love the reaction I get from my clients after they’ve seen their pictures, I love it all. With that being said, I’m also aware that not everyone can afford the pictures they really want for whatever reason. Hence, the first annual Heather Cole Photography Free Wedding Contest!!

So here’s what’s going to happen……

You write me at heather@heathercolephotography.com (subject line wedding contest). Include a picture of you, your wedding date and your story. Tell me why you think you deserve to win this contest and get your wedding pictures done for free. Make sure you put a lot of thought into this though because your stories will be judged. The deadline for this submission is Friday, August 3rd. After I’ve read everyone’s story I will submit my two favorite weddings and then there will be an online vote by my faithful Blog Watchers. I will then announce the winner on Monday, August 20th.

So get those fingers a typin…

I’m waiting to hear from you!!

Blessings!

Heather

Tracey and Luke + Wedding

Tue June 26th, 2007 Wedding Day

Straight off the plane from Seattle (so it seemed) I shot Tracey and Luke’s wedding. What a BEAUTIFUL wedding!! Held at the Simpson House, this was a garden wedding pulled right out of the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings.

Tracey looked absolutely amazing (as she always does) and Luke was so handsome!! I’ve known these two love birds for a little over 2 years now (Luke used to be Q104’s mascot the gator) and Tracey works at a modeling agency my daughter goes to. Knowing them apart from each other and then finding out the two were together was icing on the cake. They are so perfect for one another and their wedding couldn’t have been more touching.

Here are just a few (ha ha yeah right) of my favorites from the day!

Tracey and Luke, thanks for allowing Aaron and I to be a part of your special day. We love you both very much! YOU TOO RUBY!!

- Heather

Luke left “love notes” everywhere on the wedding day. Here’s one in her make-up bag.

I love how this pictures shows so many things going on. Definitely tells the story of the moment.

Luke looking all hot!

Tracey looking FREAKIN BEAUTIFUL!!

Love this shot of Luke and his guys. Luke wasn’t excited about his wedding day at all!!

Luke and Tracey and their child, Ruby.

Tracey and her girls. Don’t you just LOVE their dresses! They all looked so pretty!

Tracey and Luke even had an ice sculpture that made nice and cold martinis! I loved this one caused it matched her dress!

Their rings, inspired by their garden party. For the record, Tracey’s ring is one my favorite rings EVER! Way to go Luke. :)

Now for the good stuff. The Bride and Groom.

The dance!

Seattle Anti-Workshop

Tue June 26th, 2007 Personal

As most of you know, all of last week I was attending the AMAZING Anti-Workshop that was put on by The Boutwells and Altf. There are no words to describe this workshop or the people who attended. I have completely changed as a person and as a photographer and for that I’m forever greatful. I STRONGLY urge any of you photographers out there to attend a workshop if you have the chance. The best thing you can invest in is yourself and this workshop does just that.

Thanks to everyone who made my trip that much more amazing. You all changed my life in more ways than I can explain.

Here is a glimpse of my trip, not as good as Shyla’s movie, but it’ll do. :)

Love you all!

- Heather
