Rosemarie & Phil + Outdoor Engagement Session

I know, I know…it’s been way to long since I’ve blogged. Believe me, I KNOW THIS!! Because the baby is going to be here in about 7 weeks I’ve been trying to fit everyone’s family session in before I got on maternity leave so that doesn’t leave me much time. Good news, I have TONS to blog about so if you are excited to see some new stuff - it’s coming your way. :)

Let’s start off with Rosemarie and Phil’s engagement pictures. This couple is near and dear to my heart because I met them last year at Jillian and Anthony’s wedding. As I said before and I’ll say it again, my favorite part about my job is the people I get to meet. Had I not been a part of Jillian and Anthony’s wedding I would have never met Rosemarie and Phil. :) I LOOOOVVVEEE MY JOB!! :)

Our First Ultrasound…

So as most of you know - this week marks my HALF WAY MARK which means, we got to have our first Ultrasound today!! To keep things interesting (and because this baby will be our last) we wanted to do things this go round a bit different. Instead of finding out whether it was a boy or girl at the hospital we opted to not find out right away. Instead, we had the “money shot” picture sealed away. I met my good friend,  Sam Combs, after our appointment, handed her the SEALED envelope and she is the ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS so she can make a cake for us with either pink or blue icing on the inside!! We are having our friends and family over tonight and so when we cut the cake we will know if we are having a BOY OR GIRL!!!! What a great time this will be especially because it’s Jake’s birthday tomorrow - what a fun present!! :) So we’ll keep you posted! IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE VIEWING THIS VIDEO YOU CAN FIND IT HERE

Carolyn and Anthony + Engagement Session

What can I say about these two…first words that come to mind… IN LOVE. There is SERIOUSLY nothing better than to see two people MADLY in love with each other in front of my camera. It’s such an honor to be let in that close to see that (seriously I’m getting chills just thinking about it). Needless to say, documenting their love…NOT A HARD TASK. I had a blast hanging out with them on the plaza shooting their engagement pictures and it was a refreshing to shoot them because as you’ll see from my favorites, it wasn’t about posing or anything like that. It was all about them, the love they had for each other and I…well I was just on for the ride. :)

Danyelle & Josh + Engagement Session

Mon April 6th, 2009 Engagements

Meet Danyelle and Josh. Danyelle walked into my studio at our first consultation and said, “You’re the only photographer I’m meeting cause I know you are the one I want.” Let’s just say - the feeling is mutual - I couldn’t have asked for more perfect clients for me.

I don’t know what more to say about these two, other than I love them dearly and I’m blessed to have two more friends for life. :)

Jessie and Eric + Engagement Session

Tue March 24th, 2009 Engagements

First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your congrats on our latest pregnancy news. We are so excited to start this next chapter in our lives and I promise I will be keeping all of you updated on my progress! :)

Now on to the couple mentioned above…Jessie and Eric. If you remember, these two were runners up in my free wedding contest. For those of you who know me, I’m very persistent on doing an engagement session prior to the wedding because it’s the first time I see how you are together in front of my camera. It’s also a good way for you to see how I shoot and what to expect on your wedding day. Needless to say, I loved getting to know Jessie and Eric Friday. Engagement pictures as you all know is not all about your outfit or the location. It’s SOOO much more. I hope you can see that from a few of these photographs. Capturing all the unspoken things you two share…it’s just MAGIC!! :)
