Melissa and Todd + The Main Event

Tue November 18th, 2008 Announcements, High School Seniors, Personal, Wedding Day

Melissa and Todd marked our last wedding of the year and let me tell you, we ended this year with a bang. Melissa and Todd are SUCH an amazing couple. The day was full of laughter, tears and you guessed it…some amazing pictures (ohh that sounded a bit full of myself…sorry about that). Anyway, here are a few of my favorites, from the day. :)

Melissa had a pair of beautiful Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Man she’s beautiful…

I love this moment when her dad saw her for the first time.

Then it was Todd’s turn to see Melissa for the first time. :)

One of my favorite things about Melissa and Todd is how they look at each other. :)

After the “reveal” we headed outside for some outside pictures. Melissa and Todd were troopers, it was 33 degrees and WINDY which felt more like 20 degrees!

Snuggle in TIGHT!!!

Love it! :)

We had to warm up…so we headed to the Union Station for some pix.

Todd (aka Ken) is out of this world HANDSOME!!

Melissa (aka Barbie) you are seriously B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!!

Meow freakin Meow Meow. GET IT!!! :) :) :)

This is probably one of the most amazing moments of the day. A few weeks before Melissa and Todd’s wedding Melissa’s dad had gotten very sick. We weren’t sure if he was going to be able to walk his baby girl down the isle. As you can see, he’s an amazing man - he walked her down the isle. It was a moment I will never forget. :)

I LOVE THIS CHURCH!

:)

How amazing did their reception look?? Wowza!

Yummy!

:)

I love these two!!! SOOO happy. :)

McKenzie + Outside the box (Senior Session)

Fri November 14th, 2008 High School Seniors

So a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to work it out with the SUPER DUPER fabulous McKenzie.  About 10 minutes before we started shooting it POURED down rain but quit right when we needed it to. Despite the chilly air, and the wet ground, McKenzie was a ROCK star! Here are some of my favorites!!

Um…hello amazing shoes!!

Those eyes….ARE KILLER!

I’m not mad you are so cute. :)

:)

MMMEEEOOOWWW!!

Serious Fav!! :)

McKenzie - thanks for asking me to be the one to take your Senior pictures! You and your family is AMAZING!

Ariel + Senior (Outside the box)

Fri November 7th, 2008 High School Seniors

So a few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting a great girl, Ariel. She was a trooper…let me tell ya!! So, John McCain happened to visit our wonderful town and in doing so created the worst traffic jam our city has seen all year! So, as we are driving (okay sitting) in traffic I’m watching my light slowly go down, down, down. So, I did what any other crazy photographer would do. I pulled off on the side of the road and said, we are going to have to shoot right here. So we did, and let me tell you, she pulled it off!

Um…hello beautiful…

Why can’t I have eyes like this…

Off the side of the road…DON’T MAKE ME work it out!!

The next series…4000 ISO. P.S. Nikon D3…I love you.

Car headlights…check. One amazing girl…CHECK CHECK!!

Ariel, thank you for having so much fun with me on your shoot. I’m so happy you picked me!! :)

Hugs,

Heather

Alaina + Senior Pictures (Inside and Outside of the box)

Mon September 29th, 2008 High School Seniors

I will never forget the first time Alaina came into my studio to talk about her Senior pictures. She LOVES old Hollywood glamor and one of her favorite actresses is Veronica Lake. So not only did we BRING IT on our outdoor shoot, we worked it out on the inside as well. I don’t do too much in studio shooting but this particular photo shoot was so fun because Alaina let me do WHATEVER I wanted. I channeled my inner Veronica Lake and I think we definitely rocked both shoots….here are a JUST A FEW of my favorites.

Hair and Makeup - Mink Artistry

Um I ABSOLUTELY love this dress of hers. She even was a trooper and headed into the wilderness for me. God I love you Alaina!

Last but not least….the inside shoot…SO MUCH FUN!!

Breathtaking…seriously…I have no other words…You are STUNNING!

SSSSSEEERRIIOUSLY? HOT, HOT, HOT!! ME- FREAKIN OW!

Alaina - I love you. Thank you for being you. For your infectious smile and your amazing heart. I’m so blessed I’ve gotten to know you and to be a part of your senior year.

Erin + Senior Session {outside the box}

Thu September 11th, 2008 High School Seniors

Senior session are some of my favorite sessions to do because I really get to know each person as an individual and really get to customize their shoot around their personality. When I was a senior we all went to the same person in town who had the same backgrounds, same props, same locations. This is NOT A BAD thing, it’s just not what we do. We create a unique experience every single time. Which brings me to Erin. Erin lives in a small town of Illinois and when it came to her senior pictures she didn’t want to do what everyone else was doing so she her mom and her friend Jill hopped in a car and drove 7 hours to see me!!! Let’s just say, 2 1/2 hours later and three towns later, I think she got what she came for. A completely customized session that just SCREAMS her.

Thanks Terri for being such an awesome mom and not only bringing Erin down to see me, but bringing Bret down 4 years earlier. It means more to me than you’ll ever know.

My favs:

I love friends. They complete you. Don’t you agree? :)

Thanks for an awesome day guys!

Love ya,

Heather
