Melissa and Todd + The Main Event

Tue November 18th, 2008 Announcements, High School Seniors, Personal, Wedding Day

Melissa and Todd marked our last wedding of the year and let me tell you, we ended this year with a bang. Melissa and Todd are SUCH an amazing couple. The day was full of laughter, tears and you guessed it…some amazing pictures (ohh that sounded a bit full of myself…sorry about that). Anyway, here are a few of my favorites, from the day. :)

Melissa had a pair of beautiful Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Man she’s beautiful…

I love this moment when her dad saw her for the first time.

Then it was Todd’s turn to see Melissa for the first time. :)

One of my favorite things about Melissa and Todd is how they look at each other. :)

After the “reveal” we headed outside for some outside pictures. Melissa and Todd were troopers, it was 33 degrees and WINDY which felt more like 20 degrees!

Snuggle in TIGHT!!!

Love it! :)

We had to warm up…so we headed to the Union Station for some pix.

Todd (aka Ken) is out of this world HANDSOME!!

Melissa (aka Barbie) you are seriously B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!!

Meow freakin Meow Meow. GET IT!!! :) :) :)

This is probably one of the most amazing moments of the day. A few weeks before Melissa and Todd’s wedding Melissa’s dad had gotten very sick. We weren’t sure if he was going to be able to walk his baby girl down the isle. As you can see, he’s an amazing man - he walked her down the isle. It was a moment I will never forget. :)

I LOVE THIS CHURCH!

:)

How amazing did their reception look?? Wowza!

Yummy!

:)

I love these two!!! SOOO happy. :)

Melissa thanking her dad for walking her down the isle. :)

Todd and his mom. :)

The youngest addition to the family. Totally cute, he even had a tux!! Grandma and Grandpa aren’t proud at all!

:)

Melissa and Todd - thank you for asking Aaron and I to be a part of your wedding day. I love you both VERY much. :)

Andrea and Michael + The Main Event

Sun November 9th, 2008 Wedding Day

The moment I sat down with Andrea I knew that she was the perfect fit for me.  I could make a laundry list a hundred miles long why I love her (and the WHOLE WEDDING PARTY) but for now…I’ll cut the talk and show you the pictures. I will forewarn all of you…I did some MAD portraits on this weddings, so you’re going to see a lot of them. :)

Isn’t she BEA-UTI-FUL!!!!

Michael and Andrea’s dad looking at Andrea’s baby pictures :)

The flower girls were SOO CUTE! They were twins! And they LOVED getting dressed up!

The ladies. Man I love these girls. I miss them. :(

Work it out boys…work it out.

Michael’s ring was one of my favorite rings ever! It was made of links like a watch and collapsed.

Ohh..I love it.

Love this moment at the Ceremony. They are so amazing together. :)

This next series is one of my favs…I love the connection these two have!! :)

This is SOOO Andrea.

Makes me smile. How about you?

These next two of Andrea were so beautiful…I had to post them both!

Michael no one is mad at you for being so good looking. So don’t worry.

As the sun was setting we headed down to the 12th street bridge and broke out some HCP magic. :)

MMMMEEEOOOWWW!!!

After we got done playing around downtown, we headed to the President Hotel for a BEAUTIFUL reception.

The decorations were AMAZING!!!

Again, SOOO Andrea and Michael…. :)

and then…… so is this… :)

Andrea’s dad sang her a song for their father daughter dance. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house (including mine).

Towards the end of the night, the entire wedding party did a choreographed number. It was AWESOME!

Thank you Andrea & Michael for asking me to be a part of your day. I had a blast from start to finish and I hope you did too. Thank you to both moms for welcoming me, and making me feel like I was one of your own.

Love you,

Me

Sarah and Cory + The Main Event (Destination Wedding)

Tue October 21st, 2008 Wedding Day

Where do I even begin with this wedding!!! Wow!!

Sarah and Cory’s wedding was different than any other wedding I’ve shot this year. One, because it was in ARIZONA (HELL YEAH) but more importantly, I’ve known Sarah since we were in SECOND GRADE! We lived up the street from each other most of our lives and if you would have told me twenty some years ago I would be photographing her wedding, I wouldn’t have believed you. But there I was, in this beautiful resort, watching one of my best friends get married and was able to photographer it for her. IT was AMAZING! I also pulled triple duty and did her hair, her maid of honor’s hair, her makeup and you guessed it…HER PICTURES! Boooyeahh!!! Seriously, there were SOOO many pictures to choose from so I tried to narrow down to just a “few” that I wanted to share. :)

The shoes…seriously amazing!

Her dad was so happy that day. I think this is one of the FEW pictures I got of him not crying. :)

Sarah is simply STUNNING. Sorry, but I went OTT on some bridal portraits. :)

I was always so jealous of her OVER THE TOP amazing eyes. :)

I fell in love with each of her girls. They are SOOO awesome. :)

Her flowers were sooo pretty. :)

You funny Heather…you funny……

Lord, I’m not mad at you for making him so good lookin. Not mad at all.

One word. Yum.

I love this shot of Sarah and her mom before she walked down the aisle. :)

LOVE THIS KISSING SHOT!! :)

HUSBAND AND WIFE! YYYYYEEEAAAHH!!!

Her dress was so big, she had to have the coordinator help her up the stairs! Ha ha. :)

Soo happy.

This gives me goose bumps.

Cactus, CHECK! Moon, CHECK! Hot bride and groom - DOUBLE CHECK!! I love Arizona!! AHHH!

LOOOVE THIS SHOT!! Steve (my brother from another mother) on the left takes the cake for the SWEETEST JUMP! Billie (not my brother but still a nice guy - far right) high five for managing to jump with a drink in your hand, Ted the duck in the other and still look awesome!

The rest of ya….Props for being so awesome and having fun with me. LOVE YOU ALL!

The decorations on the inside were SOOO pretty.

Some photobooth lovin….

I didn’t have fun in the photo booth at all. Matter of fact, it sucked. Sucked so bad I went over and over again!

Night fell fast and I wanted to experiment with some cool lighting. I did this all with natural light given and my camera. No extra lights, no tripod. If you have a bride and groom willing….always see if you can experiment!!!

Sarah…you are sooo beautiful.

MEOW!

LOVE THIS SHOT!!

The band was amazing and throughout the night…everyone took a turn to sing a few songs!

So…there is a HUGE story about this duck (who is referred to as Ted). Let’s just say, he was a major part of the whole wedding experience and because of that, I thought there would be no better way to showcase the rings, than on Ted.

Sarah and Cory, how can I even begin to thank you for asking ME to photograph your wedding. Cory, I love you with all my heart. The first time I met you, I knew you were the one for Sarah. You have brought so much happiness to her life and I love you for that. Sarah, being such a big part of your day was awesome. I must admit, the thought of doing hair, makeup and photography was a bit scary but being with you all day, and doing that was SOO awesome. I got to share every moment with you and I will cherish that forever. I love you so much and I can’t wait for the next twenty plus years of our lives. Congratulations on finding the love of your life. I’m so happy for you. LOVE YOU!!

Essie and Pat + The Main Event

Thu October 16th, 2008 Wedding Day

We started off the day with the wonderful Hurricane Ike coming through. It rained all day but that didn’t stop us from workin it out in a GORGEOUS hotel called the Intercontinental.  Our day was filled with laughter, tears, and of course a tornado siren. We are definitely in Kansas Toto.

This is the what the weather looked like outside….YUCK!!

but the inside was o’ so…pretty….

Essie’s dress was one of my favorites. It was this very soft flowy dress. Oh…I wish I could wear a dress like that!!

She was so excited!!! :)

Essie’s sister was torn between crying and laughter. I loved this moment between the two of them. :)

WORK IT OUT GENTLEMEN!! WORK IT OUT!! :)

They both gave each other awesome cards when they saw each other for the first time. Sniff sniff. :)

Hotel Lobby, Check. Couch, Check. Hot Bride and Groom, CHECK!!!!!

Jillian and Anthony + The Main Event

Tue October 7th, 2008 Wedding Day

MEOW!!!! The one word to describe this entire wedding. The hair, the makeup, her dress, the bridal party, the dresses, the tuxes, the decorations, the flowers, the cake, the cookies!! Seriously, one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever shot and the biggest to date. 15 bridesmaids (that is not a typo), 15 groomsmen, 1 Junior bride, 1 Junior groom, 1 flower girl, 1 ring bearer, 5 ushers, and ONE HOT BRIDE AND GROOM!!

Not only did we have an amazing wedding to shoot, but it was also one of those weddings where you know you are part of the family, not just a photographer. I love Jillian and Anthony SOO much and have gotten to know so many of their awesome bridal party. Truly, one of the best things about my job is how I get to meet amazing people and have them in my life forever. I’m SOOO lucky.

On a side note…before I show you some of my favorites you’ll notice there aren’t any pictures of the guys on my blog because while I was hanging with the girls, Aaron was with the guys. So if you want to see some of his hotness from the wedding, you’ll have to check out his blog HERE.

Okay…on to the good stuff….

Isn’t she just beautiful!!

Love this picture…cause her mom and dad are helping her with the final touches. :)

They were all so excited to see her!!

Jillian and all the ladies…

SOOO HAPPY!!! :)

I absolutely LOVE this church!!

The flower girl was adorable…

Anthony - you are too sexy for words!! So I’ll make sounds…MEOW!!

AYKM? COME ON!

And work it out……

The decorations were amazing!! Studio Dan Meiners is AMAZING!!

Every table looked awesome with these candle lit lamp shades!! :)

The cake was designed by Jillian. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL

What better way to showcase the rings!! :)

Anthony and the boys broke out into song…”You never close your eyes.. anymore…when I kiss your lips…”

:)

Thank you Jillian and Anthony for asking me to be a part of your day. You both are amazing people inside and out. I’m truly blessed to be in your life. :)

Hugs,
